
Stream Restoration

As stream corridors are becoming more recognized as critical ecosystems having many uses and values (drinking water, fish and wildlife habitats, flood prevention, erosion control, etc.) it is important to maintain the integrity of these water sources. Where a creek’s water level excessively rises due to extreme volumes of water from a stream or maybe a stream so straight, it may become necessary to put bends and/or riffles into that stream in order to prevent or correct significant erosion and/or sediment problems.
SELLS Survey Team has worked on many Stream Restoration projects. Following is a current project our Survey team is working on which includes the following surveying services:

Provided boundary & design surveys for a 7,000 ft stream

Rechannelization & wetlands creation

GPS Survey controls to correlate with NC Geodetic Survey Control Data

Design and prepare survey conservation easements documentation to protect these areas from being developed in the future.
